Tyron Gentry
With over seven years of experience opening and managing renowned restaurants alongside Luke Dale Roberts—including The Test Kitchen, The Pot Luck Club, and The Shortmarket Club in Cape Town—Tyron has been instrumental in achieving multiple consecutive EatOut Top 10 awards and, more recently, a prestigious 2-star accolade. His culinary journey has also included a tenure at Jan Hendrik van der Westhuizen’s Michelin-starred JAN in Nice, France, followed by his leadership at The Test Kitchen Carbon in Rosebank.

Sydwell Mayika
From humble beginnings as a sculler at The Pot Luck Club, Sydwell worked his way up to Head Barman, where his pioneering cocktails set a new standard. His passion for wine led him to pursue accreditation with the South African Wine Sommeliers Association, progressing through the levels before earning his place as Restaurant Manager at Salsify at The Round House, one of Cape Town’s most celebrated dining establishments.
Sydwell has a deep love for Bordeaux blends, admiring their ability to age gracefully, evolving into wines of profound depth and complexity. His expertise extends across South Africa, France, Spain, Italy, Portugal, Chile, and Argentina, curating a selection that offers guests a journey through the world’s finest vineyards.
